Overview

This course focuses on developing the skills necessary to build financial statement projections, perform valuations, and analyze sensitivities/scenarios. Participants will learn how to create income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows, and use them to make informed business decisions. Additionally, they will explore accounting concepts and standards, and how they relate to external financial reporting. The course also covers cost concepts, cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis, staffing expenses and headcount analyses, and budgeting and management reporting. Finally, participants will gain experience using models and interpreting financial data, and evaluate the reasonableness of financial projections using sensitivities, scenarios, or simulations. By the end of the course, learners will have developed the skills necessary to build and interpret financial statements, and use them to make informed business decisions in a variety of contexts.
